"As always, I worked with utmost dedication and commitment and I am happy with the returns," Mammootty told IANS.
In his first release of the year "Roudram", Mammootty played a cop and in "Twenty 20" the actor was seen as a lawyer. His other releases were "Annan Thampi", "Paranuthu" and "Maya Bazaar".
While "Paranthu" and "Maya Bazaar" didn't do well at the box office, the success of other three films helped the veteran actor to remain on top seat.
But the superstar says his biggest achievement this year is that he completed two films - "Pazhazzi Raja" and "Kuttishrank".
"The shooting schedules of 'Pazhazzi Raja' and 'Kuttishrank' are over and I'm really excited and happy because I have high hopes from both the films. They will be released in 2009," said Mammootty.
Asked about a New Year resolution, he said: "I know only one job and that is acting and I will continue to do that."
Although he gave hits, he didn't receive any awards this year, but the actor is unperturbed.
"Haven't I told you many times that I take pride in my job and I would continue to do it the way I have done it all these years. I am not worried about other things," he said.
The superstar is off to Dubai Monday to attend the Dubai International Film Festival where his film "Orae Kadal" is being screened.
