Sohan said that they have received a notice from FEFCA stating that if Thilakan acted in the film, the association would boycott it. Sohan said they were forced to seek for a substitute for Thilakan when it came to a point that shooting might be disrupted.
The decision to keep Thilakan out of the project came soon after the news that Thilakan has been suspended from AMMA. Sohan said that if it was difficult to shoot the film in Kerala, the location would be shifted to Srilanka.
