Paleri Manikkam -Preview

The crime thriller Paleri Manikkam directed by Ranjith with Mammootty in the lead has been kicked off its shoot at Calicut. Mammootty will be seen again in a double role after his fantasy comic movie 'Ee Pattanathil Bhootham' which was released on the last week. Mammootty acts as a CBI officer who comes from Delhi to re-investigate a murder case which had occurred in the mid of the last century. At the same time he appears as a Muslim landlord lived in the same period and is connected with crime.

Asked to brief on Mammootty's Double role, he says, "Mammootty plays as a CBI officer who comes from Delhi to re-investigate a murder case which had occurred in the mid of the last century. At the same time he appears as a Muslim landlord lived in the same period and is connected with crime.. He is sharp, aggressive and very much a person who suits the job he is doing. The character would be no doubt liked by all admirers of Mammootty, and he has been doing the role with the ease which he has always displayed while doing such roles".

The movie is based on a short story by T P Rajeevan which was published in Mathrbumi weekly in the mid of last century. Director himself scripting for the movie and produced by A V Anoop and Maha Subair under the banner of Varnachithra and Varnachithra itself will be releasing the movie on november 27. Apart from Mammootty, Sreenivasan, Vijayaraghavan, Siddique and many theatre artists also can be seen in the key roles in the movie.
