Malayalam cinema has lost Subair, a leading character actor, who has done umpteen 'villain roles'.
Subair (48) died of a massive heart attack around 8 pm on Wednesday (August 18) at a private hospital in Kochi.
He had gone for Onam shopping with his family including his two weeks old baby girl. While driving back home he complained of chest pain and drove straight to a nearby hospital.
Later he was shifted to a cardiac care hospital, but they could not save him. The funeral will be held today in Tellichery his hometown.
Subair is famous for his villain characters he portrayed mainly in Mammootty and Mohanlal films. He has been part of Malayalam films for nearly two decades and has done around 200 films.
Subair started his career with Manthrikacheppu in the early 90's. Some of his memorable films are King, Lelam, BharathChandran IPS, Nadia Kollepetta Rathri etc.
He had reached Kochi yesterday morning after completing the climax of Prithviraj's B Unnikrishnan directed Thriller, probably his last film.
