Much to the dismay of Mammootty and Suresh Gopi fans, reports have streamed in that 'The King and the Commissioner' in which the two stars were to come together has been dropped.
The unconfirmed reports say that personal differences between the two stars have led to axing of the project.
The shoot of the film was expected to start by the beginning of the year. And now it seems that the project itself has been shelved since a workaround could not be worked out.
It has also been reported that with the Commissioner out of the picture, Shaji has decided to go ahead with the King alone. Ranji Panicker is rumoured to be scripting a sequel to the hit film in which Mammootty would don the role of Joseph Alex IAS once again.
