'Pokkiri Raja' progressing at Ottapaalam

'Pokkiri Raja' directed by Vaishakh and produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam is progressing at Varikasseri mana near Ottapaalam. It's the story of two brothers, Raja and Surya Narayanan, sons of Madhavan Master, who was loved and respected by the villagers. Rugmini is his only daughter. She was married to Sub Inspector Sugunan. Raja was a brat and one day there occured a clash with Puthiyara family and after the incident he fled to Madurai. There he became the leader of a quotation gang.

At this situation Madhavan Master wanted his young son Surya to be educated and make him an employee. But Surya too showed the belligerent character. He did not give any importance to his father's advice. Raja and Surya had only one aim to revenge against the members of Puthiyara family. In any manner they wanted to put an end to the power of that family. Another character Krishan Mama gave all support to Raja and Surya since he was a goonda in his teenage. Madhavan Master was fed up with the attitude of sons. He asked his son in law Sugunan to advice them. It was during this time Surya fell in love with Aswini. Mamootty portray the role of Raja and Prithwiraj as Surya Narayanan. Bindhu Panicker plays the role of Rugmini and Suraj as her husband Sugunan. Nedumudi handles the role of Madhavan Master and Vijayaraghavan as Krishna Mama. Shreya Sharan plays the role of Raja's lover Aswini. Udayan- Sibi team had penned the screen play. Shaji cranks the
camera. Kaithapram wrote the lyrics and Jazzy Gift has scored the music. Other cast includes Suman, Salim Kumar, Saikumar, Riyas Khan, Saadique, Johny, Ambika Mohan, Thesni Khan and others.
