Mammootty and Mohanlal shared the best honours at the Asianet awards announcement ceremony held recently. While Mammootty was named for the Millennium Star, Mohanlal was named the best actor of the year for his performances in films like 'Ivide Swargamaanu' and 'Bhramaram'. Mammootty also had his role when the biggest blockbuster of year 'Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja' was named as the best film.
Renjith bagged the best director award for his work in 'Palery Manickyam-Oru Pathirakolapathinte Katha'. Kavya Madhavan was adjudged the best actress for 'Banaras'. Prithviraj was named as the Youth Icon. The awards presentation will be held January 18 in Thiruvananthapuram.
