This Ramdan, Malluwood would see a keen contest between Mammootty and Mohanlal. They both have their films releasing on the festive occasion.
'Shikkar' has Mohanlal and Anannya as the lead pair and Padamkumar is directing it. This film shot more in hills than in land will be a treat to watch with many stunning Actions scenes shot entirely in hill stations like kodaikanal. The film Distributed by Ashirvad Films is expected to get released in 70 theatres on september9.
Mammootty's Pranchiyetten And The Saint will hit the screens on 10 September.'Pranchiyetten' is a comic fun thriller with Mammootty, Innocent and Priyamani in the lead roles and Renjith , the Mammootty specialist- is the director. And also another action thriller from Mammootty is long-pending multi bilingul Vandematharam is finally slated for a release this Ramdan with same day. Mammootty has donned the role of a Investigation officer Gopi krishanan in the movie that stars sneha opposite him. The movie is being directed by T Aravind.
With two biggies clashing at the box-office, it would be treat for film-buffs in Kerala.
Apart from these films, laljose's 'Elasamma Enna Ankutty' will also find select theatres on the same day. With a lot of well made films scheduled for Ramzan viewers can very well expect a better season than the driest Onam that they had just now.
