This year Mammooty has already made his plans and will promote Sohan Seenulal and Prasad as independent directors through his films 'Doubles' and 'Mathilukalkkapuram' respectively.

The latest news to add to this is that Anoop Kannan, an associate to Lal Jose will direct his debut film with Mammootty as the hero. James Albert will script this movie which will be produced by Hussain in the banner of Microcrom entertainments. Mammootty will join this project after completing the movie 'The king and the Commisioner' scheduled to start soon.
