Mammootty signs 'Praise the Lord'

Megastar Mammootty has signed a film that has been titled 'Praise the Lord' that will be directed by Shibu Gangadharan. It would be scripted by Devarajan.

The film is based on a short story that was penned by renowned writer Zacharia. Mamootty is expected to join 'Praise the Lord' after the assignments that he is currently busy with. 

The film is expected to be a real entertainer, all the while retaining the inherent quality of Zacharia's words.

Shooting over for 'Thappana'

Director Johny Antony has made the final pack up call for the movie 'Thappana' which was in the production for quite some days. Featuring Mammootty and Charmi as two convicts, the movie was completed in 52 days, ahead of the schedules that was originally planned for 60 days. The producer of the film, Milan Jaleel of galaxy Films has thrown a party for the early completion of the movie, which was attended by all in the cast and crew except Mammootty and Charmi. 'Thappana' has scripts by M Sindhuraj and music by Vidhyasagar. Ranjan Abraham is in charge of editing while Rajaratnam handles the camera. 'Thappana' will be on theaters by the end of July.
