‘Parunthu’ for newer records


Malayalam movie fans have started following their Tamil brothers in organizing maximum hype upon movie releases. Be it in the number of prints or in the time of the very first shows. The trend started with Rajini's ‘Sivaji’ released in 85 centers, which opened as early as 6 am in many centers in Kerala. Now after this immensely successful movie, each of the new superstar Malayalam films have started creating newer records in release times.
Mammootty's first film of the year ‘Roudram' opened as early as 4 am in a few centers of the north Kerala, whose record was made better by ‘Annan Thampi' which opened at 3.30, at the morning. Now Mohanlal's ‘Maadambi’, holds the record for the earliest first show making the record better by 5 minutes, that is the very first show of the movie started at 3.25 am.
Now fans of Mammootty of Malappuram district is planning to hold the first show of his latest ‘Parunthu' as early as 12.01 am, to seal the record permanently. As per the present plans, the movie will start its first show at Thaanoor P V S theatres on the very first minute of this Friday.
The movie will open at 3 am at Kozhikkode Apsara and will be shown as early as 6 am in many other centers of the North.
In the capital city, a traditional Lal stronghold, where the movie will be released in two big capacity theatres, Anjali and Athulya, plans are on to start the first show by 7 am.
