Mammootty's appeal gets big responses

Megastar Mammootty has been always instrumental in working for a social cause, whenever he got a chance. His efforts in giving some worthy returns to the society that has made him, has resulted in him becoming the ambassador for many charity organisations and allied initiatives which garnered great results. The latest to mention in such a direction is his 'Care and Share international Foundation, which works for  redressing the imbalances in society through better education, health care and social welfare.

This foundation for which Mammootty is the mentor and chief patron has been working primarily in the area of Pediatric heart surgeries through their Pro Heart 'Hridayasparsham' initiative. Since its inception in 2008, the foundation had been flooding with around thousands of applications, of which they have been able to successfully complete many surgeries for hundreds of people. But as the patrons found another 3000 applications pending which immediately demanded many more crores to get fulfilled, Mammootty has placed an appeal to general public and good Samaritans for generous contributions at an individual and corporate level, to support the children affected with heart diseases. And the latest news is that the responses have been heart whelming.

Many corporates and individuals have started calling the 'Care and Share foundation with the needed concern. The last day the patrons had a call form Susheela George, the correspondent of Sherwood international school, one of the biggest schools of Abudhabi housing around 28,000 children. She had agreed the foundation to take care of around 100 children and their expenses for heart surgeries which may cost more than a crore of rupees. As such great sponsors have started coming to care and share', Mammootty is having some satisfaction as this opportunity to give back to the world, has paid off a little.
