Record opening for 20 20

As expected AMMA's multistarrer 'Twenty: 20' opened to big audiences, all around the state. Though an unofficial boycott from Mohanlal fans has affected in some parts of the southern districts, the movie made a record collection of 1.8 crores from the day one.

This a record initial collections which happened only because of the fifty percent hike in the ticket rates on the day one and also due to the wide release strategy of the movie .'Twenty: 20' was released in 110 theatres.

On the second day the collections picked up steadily due to good word of mouth. But the overall collection on the second day will be definitely 35 percent lesser than the day one, primarily due to the reduction of the ticket rates to normal, following a stay order from the court.

The movie is expected to have a steady house full run at least for the next four weeks. All other Malayalam films that are now in theatres are definitely affected by 'Twenty :20' which has left them will daily collections as low
