Padmapriya replaced in Daddy Cool

Nikhita replaces Padmapriya Baiju NT [May 28, 2009, 6:46:13 PM]
Actress Nikitha has agreed to make a special appearance in Mammootty's forthcoming family thriller Daddy Cool instead
of Padmapriya, who walked out of the assignment due to date problems. A
song will be picturised on Nikhita, Mammootty and Daniel Balaji at
Poombatta in Thammanam this week.
Scripted and directed by newcomer Ashique Abu, ex-assistant to veteran director Kamal, Daddy Cool narrates the story of a cricket-loving police officer Antony Simon (Mammootty) and his son. Richa Pallod of Shahjahan
fame is the heroine; she appears as Annie, wife of Mammootty. The film
is produced by Alvin Antony and Khader Mayyazhi under the banner of
Wall Green Productions.
Nikitha debuted in movies with veteran director Fazil's average Malayalam film Kaiyethum Doorathu in 2002. She has appeared in only three Malayalam films so far, the other two being Bus Conductor (2004) and Bhargava Charitham Moonam Khandam (2005).
Kaiyethum Doorathu bombed at the box office, while Bus Conductor and Bhargava Charitham Moonam Khandam did
not do too well either. She later acted in other language films, acting
in about 22 films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Nikitha is well-known
for her item number 'Kodana Kodi' in the recent Tamil film Saroja (2008).
