After the stunning Box office success of 'Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja' in theatres, Producer Gokulam Gopalan has more reasons to be happy. After the sky-high amount for video rights and cable rights the movie has fetched, the latest news is that international movie channel 'HBO' has plans to secure the rights of the English version of the movie. As per the news, talks are on with the HBO officials about selling the rights to the channel. And if the deed is realized, the movie makers will get another 15-18 crores as international cable rights, which itself will make the film a gigantic success. This is an exclusive honor for a Malayalam film to get a chance to go for a worldwide audience.
Meanwhile, 'Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja', has opened to an interesting response from the Kollywood audience in Tamil Nadu. The movie which completed fifty days in theatres in Kerala has already garnered a 13 crore collection in 42 days.
