The camaraderie between Mammootty and director Ranjith seems to working quite fine.
Mammootty had recently acted in several of Ranjith's films including the critically acclaimed 'Palery Manickyam' and 'Kerala Cafe' and the recently released bumper hit 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'.
The actor had acted in some of these films without considering his normal remuneration, Ranjith had said.
Now Ranjith seems to be returning Mammootty the favor by agreeing to act in his new film 'Best Actor'. It is learned that Ranjith would don the role of a director himself in this film being directed by admaker Martin Prakkatt.
