Thilakan suspended from AMMA!

Thilakan has been suspended from AMMA. The disciplinary committee of AMMA that met today in the capital city suspended the actor taking into consideration the public statements that the actor had made against the Association.

Thilakan refused to appear before the committee today, saying that he had to be at the shooting location of his Hollywood film 'Dam 999'.

The disciplinary committee president T P Madhavan said that as of now Thilakan would not be accorded any member right until he appears before the committee before March 8th. The actor might appear in person or intimate AMMA by post.

The committee also said that it would proceed legally against the actor for having said that he wasn't being provided pension for the last several months. T P Madhavan also produced documents in support of their claim that the actor had indeed been receiving the money from the association.

Actor Janardhanan who is also a member of the disciplinary committee said that it was unfortunate that Thilakan thought the committee members were not qualified enough to demand an explanation from him. Actor Kunjan also took part in the press conference.
