Mammootty's natural acting behind 'Pranchiyettan' success: Ranjith

Ranjith, who is basking in the unexpected success of his 'Pranchiyettan and the saint', says that it was the natural acting of Mammootty that made the film acceptable to all sections of film viewers
In two weeks, the film has already garnered a distributor's share of Rs 1.60 crore. He says that people may have liked the humorous way in which he narrated a serious subject.
Ranjith says he has been flooded with calls from ordinary people, who want to congratulate him on his cinema. "They say, give us at least one such film every year'. When I hear this, the happiness I feel cannot be described in words," says Ranjith.
What makes him happy about the way the people have received the film is this: "The hero is no great hero; no action, fights and all. The film has a hero who conquers the minds of the people with his natural emoting."
Ranjith's next also will star Mammootty in the lead. GS Vijayan will direct the movie.
