Mammootty biased towards young directors

Mammootty, one of the most successful actors in the Malayalam film industry with more than 300 films in his credit as lead actor, is now more interested in working with the young directors.

The superstar, who has been working in Malayalam film industry for more than twenty years now, is currently riding high on the super success of his recent movie Pokkiri Raja.

The 56 year old actor claims that he is biased towards young directors as he would rather prefer to work with a debutant director than the others. He feels that these young directors come up with some amazing scripts and concepts. The fresh ideas brought out by the newcomers give him a chance to portray a variety of roles. Pokkiri Raja has also been directed by debutant Vyashakh.

Mammootty is now taking one more step towards Kannada film industry as he starts shooting for Shikari, which is going to be directed by Abhay Sinha. This movie is a bilingual to be made in Kannada and Malayalam. Mammootty will be playing a double role; that of a software technician and a freedom fighter.

The dialogues for the Malayalam version are going to be penned by Mammootty himself and he is very much glad to be a part of this project. Well, we wish the superstar all the best!
