PokkiriRaja is another masala flick on the lines of Annan thampi, but
this time it it Mammootty and Pritviraj who acts as brothers.
Sibi-Uday's script lacks freshness and credits to Director Vyshak who
 makes the movie entertaining.

 Story:
Raja(Mammootty) and Soorya(pritviraja) are brothers and due to certain
circumstances and rivarly with other groups, Raja has to leave at his
childhood time and reaches Madhura and becomes the right hand of a ruler
there. Soorya has been targeted by rivarly group, hence he is adviced to
move to Eranakulam to stay with his borther-in-law Suraj. He meets
Shriya and love blossoms up,but her farther (Siddique), a Police
commisioner, comes to know about it and hand over the quotation to Raja
to kill him. From here, how Raja takes on the baddies and saves his
brother forms the rest of the movie.

 Performance:
Mammootty rockz all the way!! Adichu polichu cheythitondu. English usage
was funny initially but went over bored at times. Pritvi's dance and
fights were very good. He does a commendable job but got sidelined in
second half. Shriya Saran looked beautiful but does not have much of
scope to perform. Siddique, N.Venu, VijayaRaghavan, Salim Kumar, Suraj,
Riyaz Khan did their usual roles well.

Vyshak's Direction- . Like Anwar Rasheed, he is another commercial
director to watch out for as it is not easy to make a movie entertaining
all the way with an average script from Sibi-Uday. Kettile Kettile and
Club song had a descent picturiation and received claps and whistles
even in multiplex. Mammoottye fans'nu ishtapedunna reethiyil nannaitu
utilize cheythitondu. Dance okke thamasha reethiyil aanengilum mosham
 illathe vidham edukan kazhinju.

Overall, PokkiriRaja is a festival entertainer and there is nothing
wrong in watching it once for it's entertainment value.

 Verdict: Time-pass
