The Government has decided to revoke its decision to appoint Megastar Mohanlal as the ambassador of Khadi.
However he would be retained as the Ambassador of Handloom. An official announcement of the same would be made at a special meeting scheduled on the 3rd of June at Chandrasekharan Nair stadium.
Harsh criticism of the Government decision was made by orator Sukumar Azhikode, and its learned that its Azhikode's stand that has made the Government reconsider its decision.
Azhikode had said that the star, who had appeared in a liquor advertisement earlier should not be made the Ambassador of Khadi.
Azhikode expressed happiness at the Government's new decision and said that our heritage cannot be forgotten in a hurry. He also said that he was forced to take a severe stand since he didn't see may others coming out in protest.
